On September 27, 2024, at about 8:20 p.m., State Police responded to NY-31 in the town of Sullivan for a personal injury accident.A preliminary investigation revealed a 2024 Subaru operated by Michael R. Isgar, age 36, from Clay, NY, was traveling west on NY-31 at a high rate of speed when it veered across the opposite lane and continued off the shoulder, striking a telephone pole and a large tree.
Isgar was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation is continuing.
