Oneida County's FAA UAS Test Site at Griffiss Extended Another 5 Years

Oneida County's Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Test Site at Griffiss International Airport in Rome has received reauthorization from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), granting an extension of its designation for another five years, running through 2028. This significant announcement was made by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer, emphasizing the pivotal role of the test site in advancing research and development within the drone industry. The Test Site, operated in partnership with AX Enterprize, has been at the forefront of pioneering the capabilities of unmanned flights and spearheading innovative UAS technology.
