On July 30, 1941, Trooper Robert A. Moore, 27, was killed when his motorcycle collided head-on with an automobile.
Trooper Moore was passing a vehicle to stop a speeder when he struck an oncoming car. He died of his injuries at Syracuse University Hospital without regaining consciousness.
Trooper Moore joined the Division on July 21, 1936 at Troop D Oneida. He was stationed at the West Winfield, Pulaski and Fayetteville Stations during his career.
