On the 30th of September, 1973, Investigator Bruce McCully tragically succumbed to hepatitis, a disease he contracted while courageously working undercover in a drug investigation. At the tender age of 28, Investigator McCully was serving with the Division Headquarters Drug Enforcement Detail, having previously dedicated five years to Troop G. His unwavering commitment to law enforcement led him to join the State Police in the autumn of 1968, during which time he also took on the role of class representative for the 115th and 116th Academy classes.
