Multi-vehicle Crash Involving An Overturned tractor-trailer

White Plains, NY – On November 29, 2023, at approximately 6:00 a.m., State Police responded to a multi-vehicle crash on I-287 westbound near mile marker 4.2. A preliminary investigation determined a tractor-trailer driven by William G. Mosquera, 63, of Kissimmee, FL, was traveling westbound when it collided with a second tractor-trailer being driven by Nicholas A. Terzi, 30, of Lindenhurst, NY. The collision caused Mosquera’s tractor-trailer to overturn over the center median, striking a 2004 Volkswagen sedan driven by Ian S. Carney, 52, of Ridgewood, NJ, and spilling a load of solar panels onto the roadway. Terzi was transported to Westchester Medical Center for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Significant delays exist while cleanup and recovery efforts continue. The westbound left and center lanes remain closed. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
