Here's a delicious and simple recipe for cheesy bacon dip that's perfect for parties.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 lb thick-cut bacon, cooked and chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese (reduced fat works too)
- 12 oz sour cream (light is fine)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 loaf of round bread (like rustic Italian)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Cook the bacon until crispy, then chop it into small pieces.
3. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Add the Worcestershire sauce, green onions, cheddar cheese, and bacon. Stir until well combined.
4. Cut the top off the round loaf of bread and hollow it out, leaving the bottom intact. Save the insides for serving.
5. Place the bread bowl on a large piece of aluminum foil.
6. Spoon the dip mixture into the hollowed bread bowl, then wrap it with aluminum foil.
7. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
8. Allow the dip to cool for 5 minutes, then serve with the reserved bread chunks or crackers.
Enjoy!
