Central Square Contractor Arrested for Allegedly Stealing $11K in Coins, Liquor

Fulton, NY — April 7, 2025 — A Central Square man is facing felony charges after State Police say he stole over $11,000 worth of coins and liquor from a home where he was working as a contractor.

Shaun P. Sharp, 37, was arrested by State Police in Fulton for Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, a class E felony. The charges stem from a March 25 theft reported by a homeowner in Fulton, who noticed thousands of dollars in collectible coins missing, along with 14 bottles of liquor.

Investigators quickly identified Sharp—who had been working at the property—as the prime suspect. At the time of his arrest, Sharp was already in custody at the Oswego County Jail on an unrelated charge.

While digging deeper, troopers also discovered that Sharp had violated an active order of protection by contacting the protected individual from jail. He now faces an additional charge of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd degree.

Sharp was returned to the Oswego County Correctional Facility, where he remains awaiting arraignment on the new charges. The investigation is ongoing, and further charges have not been ruled out.
