Attempted Murder Wearing Costume Caught In Utica NY

On November 8th, 2024 we released information regarding a shooting investigation that took place at the Purple Haze Smoke Shop located at 822 South St.

We released additional information requesting public assistance, along with a photograph of an individual who was attired in a black costume, who we believed to be the suspect in the incident.

After a very thorough investigation by members of the Major Crimes Unit, the suspect Pablo Goico age 41 of Utica has been arrested and charged with the shooting.

On November 20th, 2024 members of the NY/NJ US Marshalls Fugitive Task along with UPD Patrol units conducted a vehicle stop of Goico and transported him to the Utica Police Department.

Last night he was charged with:

Attempted Murder in the second degree

Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree

Several additional charges are expected and more details about those charges and additional incidents will be released in the near future
