24-Year-Old Snowmobiler Killed in Camden NY Trail Crash: Investigation Ongoing

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol deputies responded to trail C4 in Camden for a single snowmobile fatal crash last night around 9:42 PM. Dylan Dailey, 24 of Kunkletown Pennsylvania was operating a 2011 Ski-Doo Rev XP 600 snowmobile on Trail C4 when he failed to make a sharp curve in the trail. After the driver failed to make the curve, he struck several trees causing him to be ejected. Dylan was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The Sherrif’s Office Recreation Unit along with the Forensics Unit and the Criminal Investigations Unit all responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. At this time, the Sheriff’s Office believes that speed was a factor in the crash but is still currently investigating. The operator was riding with another person who was on their own snowmobile, and they were involved in the crash. The crash is still being investigated by members of the Criminal Investigations Unit.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by members of the New York State Police, Taberg Fire Department, Kirks Towing and The Shop Collision and Mechanical and the Onondaga County Medical Examiners Office.
